fc sheriff cruised through to a uefa champions league third qualifying round meeting with cs fola esch or gnk dinamo zagreb after routing fk sutjeska in niksic.
the montenegrin champions earned a useful 1-1 draw in the first leg in moldova but came unstuck at their own gradski stadium. cadu's first-half strike set the tone before sheriff scored four more after the break, with the dismissal of defender srdjan bečelić further hampering sutjeska's hopes of a recovery.
sheriff's first was made in brazil, with ricardinho's quick movement on the right leading to a neat pass which cadu converted from close range. sutjeska battled to regain their footing but found the visitors to be resilient; the hosts had eight corners in the first half but the closest they came to a goal was a long-range jovan nikolić effort which dmitri stajila turned around the post.
things deteriorated rapidly for the locals after the restart. cadu returned the compliment to ricardinho, setting up his countryman to score the second of the match on 47 minutes with a sharp shot from the edge of the box. another brazilian – fernando – then got in on the act, netting from ismail isa's ball to make it 3-0 before letting fly with a powerful shot from distance for his second of the night on 65 minutes.
bečelić was shown a straight red card for a foul on 69 minutes, but sutjeska held on grimly with ten men until substitute alexandru scripcenco notched a fifth for sheriff, heading ricardinho's cross past luckless sutjeska goalkeeper ivan janjušević.
