fc basel 2-2 valencia cf ivan ergic's last-minute equaliser gives basel a deserved point.
yugoslavian midfield player ivan ergic was the hero for fc basel after his last-minute equaliser gave the swiss champions an unlikely point in a 2-2 draw with valencia cf on matchday four of the uefa champions league.
yugoslavian scores twice valencia led after rubén baraja had cancelled out ergic's first-half opener and defender curro torres turned striker to score with 18 minutes remaining. however, ergic had other ideas, scoring again with the visitors down to ten men after roberto ayala's late dismissal.
