the montenegrin champions earned a useful 1-1 draw in the first leg in moldova but came unstuck at their own gradski stadium. cadu's first-half strike set the tone before sheriff scored four more after the break, with the dismissal of defender srdjan bečelić further hampering sutjeska's hopes of a recovery.
sheriff's first was made in brazil, with ricardinho's quick movement on the right leading to a neat pass which cadu converted from close range. sutjeska battled to regain their footing but found the visitors to be resilient; the hosts had eight corners in the first half but the closest they came to a goal was a long-range jovan nikolić effort which dmitri stajila turned around the post.
