derveld scores derveld's thunderous free-kick on 62 minutes gave the danish side hope of clawing their way back from a 2-0 first-leg deficit, but the momentum quickly swung back in celta's favour when the defender was shown a red card for a rash challenge on eduardo caudet moments later.

mostovoi misses mostovoi had two chances to put the tie beyond doubt at the start of the second half and those misses began to look costly when derveld put odense ahead, but the defender's subsequent dismissal settled matters. substitute catanha had a penalty saved by zaza with seven minutes to play and he later hit the post, but by then odense's challenge had wilted.
